Your silent disco headset is designed to be simple to use. Once powered on, guests can choose their audio channel, adjust their own volume, and enjoy the event without needing to pair the headphones to a phone or device.

Follow the steps below to wear and operate your silent disco headset correctly.

Step 1: Put the Headset On Correctly

Place the headset over both ears and adjust it until it feels comfortable and secure.

For the correct orientation, the channel controls should be on your left side and the volume control should be on your right side.

If the controls feel reversed, simply flip the headset around before adjusting the fit.

Step 2: Turn the Headset On

Locate the power switch on the rear/bottom end of the headset and turn it on.

Once powered on, the headset should be ready to receive audio from the transmitter as long as it is on the correct channel and within range.

Step 3: Select the Correct Channel

The channel selector is located on the left side of the headset.

Silent disco headsets typically use color-coded channels:

  • Channel 1: Blue
  • Channel 2: Red
  • Channel 3: Green

Choose the channel that matches the music, DJ, playlist, or audio feed you want to hear.

Step 4: Adjust the Volume

The volume control is located on the right side of the headset.

Use the volume control to raise or lower your personal listening level. Each guest can control their own headset volume independently.

πŸ‘‰ If the volume sounds low, confirm that the headset is powered on, tuned to the correct channel, and that the connected audio source or transmitter volume is turned up.

Step 5: Use the Charging Port if Needed

The charging port is located near the power area on the headset.

For most single-day events, your headphones should arrive charged and ready to use. For multi-day rentals, chargers may be included so the headphones can be recharged between uses.

If chargers are included with your rental, plug the headset into the charger when not in use so it is ready for the next event day.

Important Notes:

Headphones Do Not Pair Like Bluetooth Devices

Silent disco headphones do not need to be paired individually to a phone, tablet, or transmitter like Bluetooth earbuds or speakers.

Channel Controls

The channel control lets each guest switch between available audio feeds. If your event has multiple DJs, playlists, or presentation sources, each one may use a different channel.

πŸ‘‰ This allows guests to choose the audio experience they want during the event.

Volume Control

Each headset has its own volume control, so guests can adjust their personal listening level without affecting anyone else.

For the best experience, make sure the main audio source is playing clearly and that the transmitter is broadcasting before guests begin adjusting individual headset volume.

Multi-Day Rentals

If your rental includes chargers, recharge the headphones between event days. This helps ensure the headsets are ready for continued use.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Headset will not turn on? Make sure the power switch is fully turned on and the headset has battery charge.
  • No audio? Confirm the headset is on the correct channel and within range of the transmitter.
  • Wrong audio playing? Switch to the correct color-coded channel.
  • Volume too low? Adjust the headset volume and confirm the audio source is turned up.
  • Using a multi-day rental? Charge the headset between uses if chargers were provided.
